Course 3: German language & culture, level 1, 3 cr.

Site Visits will include:
Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, Bosch, SAP, European Patent Office, Technic Museum, German Museum, and more!

Day Trips will include:
Berlin, Munich, Heidelberg, Neuschwanstein Castle, Strasbourg, Karlsruhe
What is not Included: Students should plan for proper spending money during their time in Germany. The Office of Study Abroad can assist students in planning their budget.

Roundtrip airfare is purchased on your own. The Office of Study Abroad will assist students in planning for their itinerary.
Estimated Costs: The Francis College of Engineering is offering a "World Ready Scholarship" to College of Engineering students for this program. A limited number of $1000 scholarships will be made available to selected applicants. Program Description

Travel and study in Germany this summer with UMass Lowell's partner school - Pforzheim University - where you will focus on Automobile Manufacturing and German language & culture. What better location to learn automobile manufacturing than Germany, the land where the automobile was invented!

No prior German language skills required.

Earn 9 credits in Mechanical Engineering Professional Electives and German language & culture.
