What is not Included: Books will be approximately $100
Due to the nature of travel from Mumbai to Hubli, arrangements will be made for students to reside in a hotel in Mumbai for 1 night as they await their connecting flight to Hubli the next day. While the reservation will be made on the student's behalf, they must pay for the night on their own upon check-out. Students should expect to pay approximately $100 for this 1-night stay in Mumbai.
A Tourist visa is required for travel to India as a U.S. Citizen. The Office of Study Abroad will assist students in securing the visa. Students must have a valid passport (with expiration dates for at least 6 months post return date) and should plan for approximately $200 for visa processing costs. Please note that this will be due by October 29th.
Students may want to plan for approximately $500 for personal spending.

Program Description

Travel & study entrepreneurship & innovation with UMass Lowell's Manning School of Business! Undergraduate & Graduate students welcome!

Students will travel to Hubli, India with Professor Ashwin Mehta and Professor Deb Finch to BVB College of Engineering to learn alongside BVB students and immerse themselves in entrepreneurial mindsets and cultural influences on decision-making.

Course: 64.300 (UG) or 64.688 (GR):
This course will include travel to Hubli, India and is designed to help students understand the importance of Innovation & Entrepreneurship in today's global economy and to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset among the students in the Manning School of Business. It will cover different forms of entrepreneurship such as small businesses, growth ventures, corporate entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship. The course will focus on innovation types, turning innovation into reality and the process of entrepreneurship. Innovation and entrepreneurship theories and concepts will be discussed with real life examples and cases.
