Program Description

Have you always wanted to travel but not yet found a way to manage it? Or perhaps you are already a travel bug and want to add England to your list. Does reading English literature make you want to go to the UK and see it for yourself? Do you love attending live theatre, music, dance performances? Well, all of this is possible for you ... and much more manageable than you might think!

Our travel dates (July 22 - August 12) are late enough in the summer that you can still work for a good two and a half months at your summer job before heading to London. Financial aid is available, too! The program is open to any major. Earn either 3 or 6 credits in English, depending on your preference, and apply these courses to your major or minor, or use as upper-division elective credits.

Highlight: Students will contribute to a class project, "American student's guide to Dickens's London," for the Dickens Museum to use for American visitors. Students will be working directly with the Dickens Museum Director & staff & will be investigating various locales for their contribution to the resource guide.
