The Residence is located in the Monastery of Santos-o-Novo (17th century)—which is classified as a National Monument—on a small hill by the Tagus River, in Lisbon's east end. From the residence there is an incredible view of Lisbon. Conveniently located, the residence is a short walk from the central railway station of Santa Apolónia, the typical neighborhood of Alfama, downtown Lisbon, Terreiro do Paço, and also close to the new residential, commercial and service area of the Parque das Nações.

Students will be housed in double rooms and each room has a bathroom with shower and a single bed, wardrobe and desk for each occupant. Towels and bed linens are included. The residence has a laundry, lounge area with TV, game room, communal kitchen, dining room, study room and Wi-Fi in the rooms. Students can leave and enter the residence at any hour. City buses stop just outside the entrance to the residence and the closest metro stop at Santa Apolónia is about a 10 minute walk.
